This is the story of what appears to be another rookie jihadist who, while out in the piney woods of the great Northwest, exited his truck with a gun in his hand and got his ticket to Paradise punched by one of Tacoma's Finest. Let's hear it for TPD! Whether Brooks Papineau got deep-sixed because he was just a dumb, depressed white guy or because he'd converted to Islam and saw his chance for jihad glory will never be known unless we find other indicators than listed at the link above that he'd tumbled into the intellectual and spiritual pitfall that is Islam, evidence for which can be found here and here. Go ahead and check those links, you need to know that stuff, and then get your butts back here, pronto.
Brooks Papineau. In researching why Brooks might have insisted that his 15 minutes of fame turn out the way it did, I found here another dead guy named Papineau. Evidently the Gig Harbor shooter maaaaaay have had some Arab fire in his blood, eh? Okay, probably not but the story of at least one bearded wannabe terrorist sheihk named Papineau can be found, if only for our amusement... here.
Papineau, the Bearded Terror
Okay, back on task.
We have no evidence whatsoever that either Papineau, the Bearded Terror was ever involved in jihad ~ only weird, humiliating wrestling stunts... as if that's not bad enough. But there is prima facie evidence that Brooks Papineau had gone over to the dark side. I know what you're thinking: he was a USPS worker so he just went "postal". Not so fast, buttercup. Technically, I think you have to be inside a post office building when you go postal for it to be really "going postal".
Now, I want to bring one Wellington Menezes de Oliveira into the narrative. Who's he? He's the guy who shot up the Tasso da Silveira municipal school outside Rio de Janeiro a few months back and killed a dozen or so kids. You can find coverage of some of the funerals here. Let's explore a bit of evidence which suggests that Wellington, too, had crossed over to the dark side. First, it's interesting that he shot more girls than boys and that he shot the girls in the head and the boys in the legs. Speculating some but maybe Wellington had a growing hatred of girls because, as Muslim men constantly demonstrate, women are to blame when Muslim men lose sexual control in any way, from thought to deed. According to Islam, the lustful thoughts of a man are the fault of the Muslimah whose forearm he saw with no sleeve upon it. A prominent imam from Australia avers that women not dressed according to Muslim law and custom are like uncovered meat attracting dogs and cats... they should expect to be attacked, details here. As well, the Koran suggests that women are responsible for rape, as you can read here. So, maybe Wellington went to Tasso da Silveira school that morning to inflict his unrighteous rage on as many slutty little infidel girls as he could. Why, oh why? Because they'd tempted him, of course. It was their fault, they had to die.
On the other bloody, twitching hand ~ and leaving religion out of the calculus ~ it's not unheard of for a boy or young man who experiences rejection from a girl to hate the one who rejects him and to project that hate to all girls. So, maybe Wellington wasn't such a holy warrior after all and really just wanted a piece of some of the girls at the school but they weren't giving it up to some goofy knuckle-head Muslim, so he killed 'em for that reason. I don't know, so let's look at some more evidence.
Wellington with some serious Salafist beard action. Among other red flags, growing this type of beard can be an indicator that a man has become very serious about Islam, as explained here. He's speaking Portugese and I can't understand what he's saying so if anyone can offer a translation, it would be appreciated. Also, one of Wellington's sisters told the cops that he had been attending a mosque in Rio. In an interview at a local radio station, Roselane de Oliveira, a foster sister of Wellington, said that he had no friends, and... He was so focused on things related to Islam and had let his beard grow long. He was weird, he was on the Internet all day reading related issues and it was very strange, very secretive. Evidently Wellington described the situation in a letter, which said in part: I made mistakes with my family but I changed with the Koran and they do not trust me. Wellington also made reference to some sort of group, saying he divided his time between prayers and thoughts about terrorism. He wrote: I'm outside the group but I pray to God every day with my noon prayer, that is the recognition of God, and the other 5 are the dedication to God and four hours every day I spend reading the Koran. Not the book because it stayed with the group but parts that I've copied for myself. And the rest of the time I spend meditating about what I read and sometimes meditating about September 11th. And, then, there's this. I couldn't find any more sourcing than what's at the link but it adds to the evidence that Wellington was a murderous Muslim dirtbag.
So, given the preponderance of the available evidence, I'm going to take an educated guess and say that something in the so-called Religion of Peace compelled Wellington to enter that school and start capping kids. And, leaping with all my might to the top of the page to Papineau ~ Brooks, not the wrestler ~ I'm going to say it was a 50~50 shot that he was a sudden jihadist. I think maybe he was tired of his earthly troubles and wanted to end them by killing an infidel cop ~ an oft preached strategy in terrorist training camps, their print and internet media, and probably a thousand or so mosques around the world, including here in the US, which guarantees Brooks a spot in Muslim paradise ~ and having the cop kill him so he could begin to enjoy those heavenly pleasures right away. He forces a confrontation where he gets the cop to shoot him and then hopes he can take her out before he dies. That's my theory.
But whether or not Brooks or Wellington got their 15 minutes because the evil that is Islam had struck deep enough into their souls, or for any other reason one can conjure up, both of them did or attempted to do something suggested a/o commanded in terrorist lore and literature: kill cops and kids.
Why am I drawing out the Islamic bent in these two? Do I hate Muslims? No, I hate Islam for fully rational reasons and I don't trust anyone who is uneducated and naive enough to think Islam is okay, or just as good as any other belief system or religion or culture. Am I planning a war against Muslims or telling you to launch an attack of any kind against anyone, Muslim or not? No, not at all. Am I telling you to kill anyone? Nope. But I am giving you some options you can choose to use if you'd like in order to protect yourself against attacks that will most definitely keep coming from... Muslims. If you run into Babtist bad-guys, these tactics work on them as well.
But ain't I being mean to all those gentle, kind, moderate Muslims? There is no such animal. What most knuckleheads will do is put terrorists into the group called radical and muslims who don't misbehave like that are moderates. But according to their own beliefs, one who follows the Koran to the letter, as it's written, is just a Muslim, not radical or moderate. It's like being a little dead or a little pregnant. Can't happen. You're either dead or alive, pregnant or not. You either practice all the time everything that's in the Koran, hadith and sunna and that makes you a Muslim or you practice it a little or just sometimes and that makes you an apostate.. or at least a slacker. So, I'm suggesting the not-too-faint nexus between Islam and our two subjects above because you need to stay aware of the sad fact that you can't trust Muslims, even FNG Muslims, and included in that huge list of things you can't trust them with is your life.
Okay, where were we? Oh, yea: school security officers and teachers don't train for what Wellington did. They just don't. They might run through it at a school staff meeting as a Let's do this but not practice it kinda thing but they won't ever train anything effective to the staff and certainly never to the kids because to do so they have to bring up the why, the reason they're being trained to run like hell: so they don't get raped and murdered by a gang of savages while the cops who do manage to show up try to negotiate the situation to a peaceful outcome. Speaking of security guards who don't or won't do anything, take a look at this. On the other hand, let's give this security guard a crisp salute.
Too often the Let's do this is just a lockdown. So there's a bunch of savages coming in the front door of the school and your kid's teacher spots them and clearly sees they have weapons and less than friendly intent and depicted below is what that teacher will have the kids do in response to the approaching mayhem...

Run. Tell your kids to run. Kids start running from Room 4, where Wellington is shooting, at 1:05. About 1:13 we see kids from Room 5 across the hall start to bail. Wellington appears in the hallway at 1:28. You're watching time-lapse video, but it looks like it only took the kids in Room 5 about 8 seconds to figure out that running was the best option and they were all out of the classroom, down the hall and safe 15 seconds later.
You should go to the school with your kids when the school is closed and run your own recon. From the outside of the building find the classroom your kid spends most of his or her time in. If there is no exit door in the exterior wall, ask him if he remembers where the closest exit door is to the main inner classroom entry door. Have him show you that outer exit door, probably at the end of some corridor, from the outside of the building. If he can't do that for some reason, then you're going to have to go inside during school hours and figure it out for yourself and then show him or her. That's easy enough to do. Show up for beginning of year registration even if your kid is registered at that school for the coming year and take advantage of any open house type stuff going on.
If all the classrooms have exterior exit doors, then just explain that exit can be made through any of them whenever there's reason to run. Show your kids how to open windows, and how to throw chairs through them in order to escape: break with chair legs then run the legs around the frame to break out the big shards still in the frame, they're going to get cut a little but they'll be okay. Tell them that the Open Only In Case of Emergency ~ Alarm Will Sound doors are okay to go out when they're scared. Nobody's going to jail for running out one of those doors to safety. If your kids are old enough, tell them it's okay to disobey school staffers and run if they feel it's better than staying and hiding under a freakin' table.
A while back I got a comment from a reader whose call-sign is Cat. She had two questions. First: regarding Beslan. What if, like Columbine, staying down simply makes the kid a sitting target? Is there anything I can teach the kid to at least give him a chance?
I address that above and wrote here earlier about how lock-downs should not be Plan A in any given attack situation, it depends on where the attack is coming from, the number of attackers, the availability of near-by safe haven if one chooses to high-tail it out of the AO. Lockdowns are okay when the threat is a big dumb bear wandering through the playground or tearing the tops off cars in the parking lot looking for Cheetos or Spam. Lockdowns are not okay when there are shooters approaching or inside a school.
Second: If I have to view every can-collector, every dog-stroller weirdo, piously bag-headed female, and the like as potential threats, I won't be able to enjoy anything outside my house. Hypervigilance is exhausting.
There is the possible and the probable and you can only prepare for the probable without over-doing it. Lots of things are possible, but not everything is probable. My advice is to know your enemy so you know what you're looking at/paying attention for, know what to do and not do while observing danger ~ have a plan ~ and then take whatever action you've decided upon and for which you are prepared.
Let me throw this in quickly and then try to wrap up: Bomb threats can be used by terrorists to determine the response time and capability of police and other emergency services so you need to keep your eyes and ears open for this kind of story in the news, a/o from your own kids. Last school year in the US, there were many bomb threats called in to schools. Here are just some of the stories: Edmonds, Washintgon here, Spokane bomber here, North Quincy, Massachusetts here, Grants Pass, Oregon here, Alpena, Michigan here... and why was there a lockdown? Then Wakefield, Virginia here, Harrisburg, Virginia here, and Bay City, Texas here. And, here is a story about how wannabe crooks called in a bomb threat at a school to divert cops from a bank robbery they were fixin' to try. So, if those two knuckleheads thought of a bomb threat as a diversion to a bank heist, why wouldn't a terrorist plot include a fake bank robbery in order to more easily attack and take-over a school? There is no reason.
With little Wellington's own photo gallery, let me close with a few thoughts on shot placement:
You're gonna miss. And, hey, we'll be shootin' back. COM: Center Of Mass. Drop to one knee and put at least three rounds in the COM.
Proper head-shot alignment: anywhere along the red lines will do the job.
Nobody move or the dipshit jihadi get's it. If this guy's in a room full of kids and he puts his gun up to his head like this, I'm not calling it a suicide attempt on his part, I'm calling it a chance for me to take him out of the equation: he's getting a full mag of 9mm COM. I don't know if he's going to suddenly point the gun back at the kids and start pulling the trigger. He's still a threat, he's going down. Period. You're free to do whatsoever you'd like.
Alternative target area. It's going to hurt really bad when you hit him here, plus a broken pelvis a/o femurs will mean he pretty much ain't going anywhere... he's a sitting duck.
If you do end up shooting someone, you might want to give these guys a look.

Why not get the facts straight BEFORE writing such a defamatory article about someone? Brooks was **NOT** Muslim. He was a good friend of mine. The police spokesman got the information wrong.
Please remove the information about Brooks that appears above. Your story is completely off base and hurtful to the family.
