S0, here we are, ten years later. I remember a couple patriotic songs that came out of the country genre after 9-11-01. That was good, I suppose.
Shortly after the attacks, I went to see James Taylor, a well-known liberal, in concert with my daughter. Everyone was waiting for him to say... something. But he didn't utter one word about what had occurred a mere 5 days earlier on his side of fly-over country. Not one key was stroked, string picked or strummed, horn blown, nor drum beat in any musical tribute or call to action. Well, that was okay, too. And, honestly, I wish more celebrities would keep their political opinions to themselves.
Why?
Because of all the people who sing with such joyous fervor: We'll put a boot in your ass, it's the American way, most of them don't understand a damn thing about the real threat Islam poses to this country and to the entire free world ~ see here. They think the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are just pay-back for knocking over some buildings on the east coast ten years ago. They don't have any idea what taqiyya is, wouldn't give a hoot in hell about what the Koran actually says about non-Muslims, think honor killings are just harsh Muslim discipline gone wrong and if they've ever heard about sharia law, they probably think it's okay to let Muslims use Islamic law within their US enclaves just to show Americans are ooooooh so very tolerant. They don't get it. Sorry, boys and girls; singing along with Toby Keith ain't cuttin' it.
Here is evidence that people are not paying attention.
Anyway, with purpose in mind to be revealed shortly, I've posted the clip below for at least two reasons:
- Because I love hockey and I love the Winter Classic, and maybe more people will come to enjoy this great game if I push it a little bit here.
- To give you all a look and listen at how James Taylor does O-oh, say can you see...
JT starts at 7:00. But what about the hoser singing before him? Ho, Canada? WTF is that? He sings like the Canucks played in the Stanley Cup Finals against the Bruins.
Speakin' o' which...
The Bruins are not my team, my love and loyalty goes to the Detroit Red Wings. But the Bruins began to peak just as The Stanley Cup Playoffs started and by the time the Finals rolled around, they were ready to destroy the team everyone picked to win The Cup. The series went back and forth, each team winning their games at home. Game 7 was for all the marbles at Vancouver and the Bruins destroyed the Canucks 4-0. If you look at the clip you'll see some displays of certain character and temperment that, if I could magically transfer them to every single infidel, I would. In a heartbeat.
- At 2:56 Tim Thomas makes an incredible stick save against Tampa Bay. That's just damn good hockey.
- Goalies usually stay in the crease, focusing on finding and stopping incoming pucks. But at 3:41, Thomas does what goalies can do according to the rules but usually do not: he went on the attack, and Captain Henrik Sedin ends up on his ass. Thomas attacks again at 3:56.
- At 4:14, which is in Game 6 at Boston, you see Brad Marchand punching Daniel Sedin in the face while Sedin just stands there, hoping a ref will blow a whistle on the upstart Michigan rookie. Sedin is the Alternate Captain of the Canucks ~ his twin brother Henrik is Captain ~ and by unwritten but long-practiced hockey rules, Daniel should have at least taken Marchand to the ice. But he didn't even do that: he just stood there like a pussy, begging someone to come save him. What Sedin should have done was to start hammering Marchand in the face thereby telling everyone watching: You beat us tonight on your ice but we're going to kick your Yankee asses when we get to Vancouver for Game 7... eh? Instead, he did nothing but whine.
- And the next time they met on the ice, Game 7 in Vancouver, Boston beat the hell out of the Canucks.
Hockey players and fans understand that it's okay to drop the gloves and fight over certain things. Of course, there are written and unwritten rules having to do with fighting ~ and one of them really is that you have to drop your gloves. So, it's okay for infidels to fight about certain things, too. We don't have to believe the lies of Islam, we can learn the truth so many won't, and how to present it... or at least live it. The best place to learn the truth about Islam is at Robert Spencer's JihadWatch. An excellent essay on how we can take a firm but non-violent stand against Muslims can be found here. And, if you're interested in fighting terrorism in a legal, reasonable way that might even include deadly force, then you can get a real good start here. As in... here. At this blog.
This is why, when I drink beer, I drink Budweiser.
Anyway, back on task: let's dissect the love scene between Brad Marchand and Daniel Sedin and see what we can learn from that tender romance. How about this:
- As already noted, when someone's attacking you, you don't have to stand there and take it. You can fight back. Learn how and when or suffer the injuries and ignominy that are the natural result of your fear. Daniel and Henrik Sedin are identical twins known for their patience in setting up and taking shots on goal. They happen to be very good at scoring goals by being patient. But, though the Canucks won the President's Trophy, their patience didn't do them a damn bit of good against a team that wanted The Cup more than they did and was willing to pay a higher price to get it. This price included both accepting pain... and dishing it out.
- If and when you do fight, make sure it's for a good reason and that you do so within the rules. Believe it or not, Marchand was not breaking any rules when he was smacking Sedin. And Sedin would not have broken any rules if he'd hit Marchand a/o taken him to the ice.
- The refs ~ the police/military within our context here ~ don't have to help you. They may not be around. They may be busy with other matters. They may not care. So, it's up to you to do something. So-called experts tell us that al-Qaeda can't pull off another attack like they did ten years ago today. So, we're supposed to relax? The threat from home-grown terrorists will not dissipate. Muslims will continue to be more and more pushy unless their not-so-subtle aggression is met with the same degree of vigor that they use to get their way. There is no reason to think otherwise. Don't believe me? Look here. And here.
- Never surrender an inch to the enemy. General George Patton said he didn't like to pay for the same real estate twice, so retreat was not an option. We already paid for the freedoms we have in this country. It began with the original Boston tough guys back in 1775. Today our warriors continue to give life and limb to keep us free as a nation, as a people, as communities, as families, as couples, as individuals. It's a fight worth joining.
Muslims embrace the delusion that they are destined to live in an eternal, world-wide Islamic community, lording it over all non-Muslims.
My throat was not made for stepping on or for slitting. My fingers were not made to intertwine and beg for mercy... see Psalms 144:1
John Stuart Mill wrote: War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature, and has no chance of being free unless made so or kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. The war is not over. There may never again be a devastation attack like 9-11-01 committed on American soil. But the stealth jihad will continue until its practitioners are defeated one way or another.
As this date approached, I began some research to see what kind of "art" I might attach in this post. You know; planes plowing into buildings, people jumping to quick demise rather than burn slowly to death, falling towers, crowds running in horror, etc. In looking at various memorial videos, they all bore a caveat similar to this: Warning: graphic content. Images may be disturbing. You know what? Forget that. Man up, America. Every freedom-lovin' soul should watch those horrific videos at least once a month until the barbarians who are now through our gates are once again outside the walls. Only by constantly remembering the savagery that is Islam can we be willing and able to stand against it. And if you won't stand against it then ~ F-bomb deleted for the sake of my sister ~ you can eat my shorts; you're part of the problem.
None of this is post written in memory of anybody. The dead are dead. Our deaths are on God's calendar, not ours... it was their time. We must not be concerned about the magnitude of pain these deaths stirred in us. Rather, these deaths should signify to us the magnitude of evil that is Islam. The hallowed dead cry out to us in warning every day. We must not, we cannot permit evil to triumph.
In closing, I was watching a Christmas concert in the winter of 2001 and heard the song you'll hear below. As much of a hard-ass as I am, the lyric touches me more deeply than any ass-kicking song. While we fight to keep liberty alive, let's not become so hardened that we can't shed a tear now and then.
If I had my way things would be different
No one would believe that a lie was true
Choices would be clear
Wisdom would be heeded
Warnings never needed
This is what I'd pray,
If I had my way...
Take a look and a listen. Then get back to the battle, unerschrocken. The war is just begun.

Hey, lessons from hockey! We're paying attention now. Next year we'll have to send some Canadians who can sing as well as we can play!
Thanks for your 9/11 Post. On the 10th anniversary, I watched "The Falling Man," on Youtube and realized again that grieving is a process. Ten years later, some are still in denial; others have moved forward in the process; many are delusional.
Thanks for the reality-check I get every time I visit your blog.

undaunted, you have a fine blog.
Implicit in everything you write is the warning, "be observant." Sage advice. I shake my head every time I walk through the streets of almost any American city and see people plugged into IPhones. They saunter along without a thought, eyes open, but seeing nothing. One day a sudden jihadi will catch them by surprise.
Hearbreak will follow.
Another, less obvious thing you imply is, "get yourself into shape and stay that way." (That, in part, must be what you mean about "getting your shit into one bag.")
I'm making this post too long, but I wanted to give you a translation of the Latin in case you read my reply to Afgahn Night (he is not a knight) on the JW thread, "A decade out: We're losing." I mentioned you. You wrote to him, "Fuck you and the horse you rode in on." I wrote to him, "Fuck you and your camel." Or, it can be understood as, ... "and the camel you rode in on." (Te futueo et camelum tuum.) You can use that on any troublesome Muslim troll. The final Latin sentence means, "They who are accustomed to eat[ing] camel flesh are steadfast in hatred."
Hope to see more of your posts on JW.
